Class B Driver

Description
HOURS:
- 40 hours/week
- Monday through Friday; First shift
- Work flexible hours with overtime, including Saturdays. .
REPORTS TO: Branch Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to bind loads to proper safety requirements
- Know routes for safe travel and clearance
- Able to identify materials to be able to check loads
- Pre-trip inspection – documented
- Capable of completing various types of paperwork including load lists, bill of ladings, and other shipping documents.
- Ability to correctly use the timekeeping system
- Capable of completing various types of paperwork with 95 % accuracy
- Loads and Unloads Trucks with overhead crane and forklift
- Other duties as assigned.

- Possess excellent measuring skills, with ability to read and understand foot/inch/fractions to 1/32 of an inch.
- Maintain a good attitude toward fast paced change, lean manufacturing and multi-tasking.
- Dependable and regular attendance necessary.
Requirements
SPECIALIZED SKILLS/CERTIFICATION:
- Possess a Class B license
- Maintain a current DOT physical card
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Individuals must be able to perform each essential duty at a minimum satisfactory level.
- Individuals must possess the required education/experience, job related characteristics and specialized skills/certifications.
- Must be over 21 years of age, preferably over 25 with 3-4 years driving experience
- Current MVR should show no more than one speeding ticket
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Climb ladders
- Able to stand and sit for long periods of time.
- Factory setting; hot and cold temperatures; noisy conditions.
- Able to lift 80 lbs.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
