Description

HOURS:

  • 40 hours/week
  • Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm
  • Work flexible hours with overtime, including Saturdays.

REPORTS TO: Shop Logistics Supervisor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ability to do documented pre-trip inspection including fifth wheel plate condition, air line and wiring pigtail
  • Able to bind loads to proper safety requirements
  • Able to back a trailer into tight spaces
  • Know routes for safe travel and clearance
  • Able to identify materials to be able to check loads
  • Able to do logbook when necessary
  • Capable of completing various types of paperwork with 95% accuracy
  • Loads and unloads trucks with overhead crane and forklift
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Maintains good attitude with customers and company employees
  • Must have good hygiene, work ethic, is punctual and has the ability to work independently as well as a team
  • Possess excellent measuring skills, with ability to read and understand a tape measure to 1/32 of an inch
  • Maintain a good attitude toward fast-paced change, lean manufacturing, and multi-tasking
  • Dependable and regular attendance is necessary

Requirements

 

  SPECIALIZED SKILLS/CERTIFICATION:

  • Possess a Class A license
  • Maintain a current DOT physical card

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Individuals must be able to perform each essential duty at a minimum satisfactory level
  • Individuals must possess the required education/experience, job related characteristics and specialized skills/certifications
  • Current MVR should show no more than one (1) speeding ticket

  • Climb ladders
  • Able to stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Factory setting: hot and cold temperatures; noisy conditions
  • Able to lift up to 80lbs.
